Children's Eye Health: Signs Parents Should Not Ignore
Parents' Guide • 5 min read
Children may not always be able to explain that something is wrong with their vision. Paying attention to changes in their visual behaviour can therefore be important.
Things parents may notice
- Frequently sitting very close to screens or books
- Squinting while looking at something
- Difficulty seeing what is written at a distance
- Unusual head positioning while focusing
When in doubt, get the eyes checked
If you notice a persistent change in your child's visual behaviour, an appropriate eye examination can help assess whether there is an underlying vision concern.
